Post Recording Production Considerations

You've come to the point in your career where you are ready to launch your CD. Whether you are a musician, photographer, curriculum writer or artist, and whether this is your first CD or your umpteenth, it is important to keep a few things in mind. The first consideration - what are you going to call this CD? If this is your first production, you may also need to come up with the perfect name for yourself, your band, or production/art company. It is imperative that you take your time with this step and choose the best title to showcase yourself and your work to the world. Think about the content of your CD - what phrase, word or small group of words metaphorically describes your work to perfection? Make it catchy and make it memorable. You want your work to stand out - the name of the CD is a big consideration in this process.

Secondly, think about the images, the visual metaphors, the type of lettering, and how you are going to represent yourself or your band on the covers. These are critical, and you need to sit down and ponder on this for a while before contracting for this work. If you are going to include photographs of yourself and/or your band, you need to figure out how best to do this. A high quality digital photograph is best for a CD representation, saved as a tif or png file.

Once these decisions have been made it is time to think about how you want your work presented. Are you going to include an inner leaflet or lyric sheet? What words do you wish to share with your future audience on these inner informational goodies? Write these out in draft - we can help you edit your work to make your words sing with quality. We will ensure that the inner information is legible and interesting. It is our goal to create the best possible visual vehicle to make your CD content shine! We know music, as well as curriculum development and art/photography showcasing, like the back of our hand. We are in touch with what sells - what moves people and makes them want to listen or view what is inside. Let us create the artistic envelope that will enfold your brain child, and present it like a precious gift to the whole world to enjoy!
