GO DOWN TO THE BONE YARD
by Carolye Kuchta
Go down to the bone yard,
clickety-clack,
wearing granddad's tap shoes
and tipping your hat.
Go down to the bone yard
and see the roaming stars.
Catch a few that tumble down
and stuff 'em into jars.
Go down to the bone yard,
hum dee-doo dee-dat.
Sing a little ditty
to the black jacket bats.
Boogie down at the boneyard
with carnations and juice.
Do it all for granddad;
he loved to cut loose.
